Ceramics, Minor

Minor in Ceramics

The Ceramics minor introduces students to the processes and medium of ceramics through demonstration, hands-on experience, and experimentation. Students acquire a wide variety of skills in hand-building, wheel throwing, the application of glazes, and kiln-firing their work. Through lecture and discussion, students are exposed to the rich history of ceramic objects and are encouraged to explore individual directions and concepts as they progress through the program.
