Hebrew Language Therapy, Certificate

The Hebrew Language Therapy Training is a rigorous certificate program for Hebrew reading specialists. The certificate program is based on evidence-based methods for teaching students with dyslexia how to read Hebrew.  The program includes topics such as vocabulary and comprehension and evidence-based methods.  Participants will study the relationship between word knowledge and comprehension, focusing on the complexity of the Hebrew language. The topics include morphology, receptive and expressive language, semantics, and the mental lexicon. Effective vocabulary instructional methods for students with learning difficulties and at-risk readers will be demonstrated and practiced throughout the program.  Additionally, participants will engage in a supervised practicum, allowing for the application and transfer of learning, focusing on student outcomes.

Admission Requirements

Students must have a bachelor's degree in education or related field. 

Graduate students must apply for the certificate program through the Graduate School. A minimum grade point average of 2.5 is required.
