Reading Endorsement Certificate (Pre-K-12)
The University of Akron Reading Endorsement Certificate prepares licensed educators to add a K-12 reading endorsement to any standard teaching license such as Primary Childhood, Middle Childhood, Intervention Specialist, Adolescence to Young Adult (AYA), or Multi-Age licenses. Applicants will need to complete 5 courses in the program or 15 graduate credit hours. To receive the reading endorsement on their license, they must also pass the required state assessments for the reading endorsement.
Admission Requirements
Applicants must have a 2.5 undergraduate GPA in order to be admitted to this program.
This certificate requires a minimum of 15 credits. This includes 9 credits of core courses and 6 credits of electives.
