This certificate program is intended for individuals who wish to enhance their knowledge of diversity, equity, and inclusion in educational, community, and industrial fields. This certificate is independent of a degree and is designed for individuals in one of the following categories:
- Psychology majors who want to concentrate on diversity, equity, and inclusion, including social justice.
- Non-psychology majors who want an introduction to the areas of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Professionals employed in the field who would like to gain expertise in the area of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Requirements for Admission
PSYC 100 Introduction to Psychology for psychology majors or equivalent for non-psychology majors must be taken before being approved for the certificate.
The following information has official approval of The Department of Pychology and The Buchtel College of Arts & Sciences, but is intended only as a guide. Completion of this certificate is contingent upon many factors, including but not limited to: class availability, total number of required credits, work schedule, finances, family, course drops/withdrawals, successfully passing courses, prerequisites, among others.
