BMET 101  Tools for Biomedical Engineering Technology  (2 Units)  
Prerequisite: Admission to the Associate of Applied Science Degree in Biomedical Engineering Technology. Corequisite: MATH 255. Introduction to logic and problem-solving and programming design; engineering drawing and graphics using SolidWorks.
BMET 201  Medical Instrumentation I  (4 Units)  
Prerequisites: BMET 101 and admission to Associate of Applied Science Degree in Biomedical Engineering Technology. An overview of medical equipment, devices, and instrumentation in healthcare settings related to laboratory and diagnostic equipment and monitoring systems that biomedical technicians encounter.
BMET 202  Medical Instrumentation II  (4 Units)  
Prerequisites: BMET 201 and admission to Associate of Applied Science Degree in Biomedical Engineering Technology. An overview of medical devices, equipment, and instrumentation that in healthcare settings, related to physiology and healthcare technology, imaging, infusion, life support, therapeutic, and operating room equipment.
BMET 203  Programming Logic and Troubleshooting (Software)  (3 Units)  
Prerequisite: Admission to Associate of Applied Science Degree in Biomedical Engineering Technology. Corequisite: BMET 201. Applying programming logic to identify, troubleshoot, and correct software issues in diagnostic, monitoring, or therapeutic medical equipment in healthcare settings.
BMET 204  Programming Logic and Troubleshooting (Hardware)  (3 Units)  
Prerequisites: BMET 203 and admission to Associate of Applied Science Degree in Biomedical Engineering Technology. Installation, maintainance, and repair of biomedical technology hardware components and devices; proper and safe diagnosis, resolution, and documentation of common hardware issues.
BMET 205  Public Safety in Healthcare Facilities  (3 Units)  
Prerequisite: Admission to Associate of Applied Science Degree in Biomedical Engineering Technology. Introduction to public safety requirements for healthcare facilities related to Biomedical Equipment Technician Certification and Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety roles in industry.
BMET 206  Project Based Team Diagnosis and Repair of Medical Equipment  (3 Units)  
Prerequisites: BMET 205 and admission to Associate of Applied Science Degree in Biomedical Engineering Technology. Providing students hands-on experience with diagnosis and repair of medical equipment and instrumentation and preparing them for Biomedical Engineering Technician certification exam.
BMET 207  Fundamentals of Bioelectronics  (3 Units)  
Prerequisites: EEET 122 and admission to Associate of Applied Science Degree in Biomedical Engineering Technology. Theory and experiments covering the fundamental electrical circuit analysis methods and applications in biomedical systems.
BMET 208  Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician Certification Review  (1 Unit)  
Prerequisites: BMET 205 and admission to Associate of Applied Science Degree in Biomedical Engineering Technology. Preparation for the Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET) exam.
